Day by Day Itinerary

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Later in the evening, we will have a pre-departure meeting regarding the details of your trip.

In the morning, we’ll pick you up from your hotel and head towards Pokhara. During the drive we can see rivers, mountains and picturesque villages that dot the landscapes. Upon reaching Pokhara, you can settle in and later explore the charming lakeside area with its scenic views, restaurants, shops, and cafes along Phewa Lake.

Following breakfast, we’ll embark on a drive to the outskirts of Pokhara along the Modi Khola and Kali Gandaki rivers to reach Galeshwor. Galeshwor is home to a revered Lord Shiva Temple, a must-visit site. From there, our trek commences, taking us uphill, crossing a suspension bridge over the Kaligandaki River, passing through numerous settlements, terraced fields, and lush forests, ultimately reaching our destination for the day, Banskharka.

As we leave Bans Kharka behind, our trail gradually ascends. The route to Nangi takes you through picturesque villages, agricultural fields, dense forests of Pine, Oak, and vibrant Rhododendron trees, all while offering breathtaking mountain views and stunning landscapes. Nangi village is the birthplace of Mahabir Poon, a pioneer in communication technology and the founder of this trekking route. In the village, we’ll visit the community-based Himanchal High School, a local paper factory, the Nangi Barahi Temple, a nursery for medicinal plants, and an advanced computer lab.

Today we will reach the highest point of our trek and it’s going to be a relatively long. Departing from Naangi, you’ll follow a trail that meanders through unspoiled oak, rhododendron, bamboo forests, and occasional yak pastures. The path will steadily ascend, making it a bit strenuous, but the reward is well worth it. Along the way, you’ll be treated to awe-inspiring views of several snow-capped mountains.

Upon reaching the summit of Mohare Danda, you’ll be greeted by close-up vistas of remarkable peaks such as Nilgiri, Machhapuchhre (Fish Tail Mountain), Annapurna South, and Dhaulagiri. The effort put into this ascent will undoubtedly be rewarded with these stunning mountain panoramas.

We begin our day early, savoring a steaming cup of Nepali tea, while we eagerly await the magnificent sunrise over the snow-covered peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Ranges. Following breakfast, we resume our trek towards Ghorepani, embarking on a full day of trekking that takes us through a mix of uphill and downhill paths within the lush jungle.

Today promises to be another highlight of our trekking adventure. Our day begins before sunrise as we wake up early for an exhilarating hike to Poon Hill, situated at an elevation of 3210 meters. The climb to Poon Hill typically takes around 45 minutes, and the anticipation of witnessing the sunrise over the Himalayas fills us with excitement. Upon reaching the summit of Poon Hill, we are treated to a truly awe-inspiring spectacle as the first rays of sunlight bathe the sky in hues of orange and gold. The panoramic vista that unfolds before us is genuinely captivating. From this elevated vantage point, we can admire a majestic lineup of peaks, including Dhaulagiri (8,167m), the Annapurnas, Machhapuchhre (6,997m), Manaslu (8,163m), and many more.

After immersing ourselves in the beauty and tranquility of Poon Hill, we retrace our steps back to the hotel.
