During the drive, we follow Trisuli and Marshyangdi Rivers and pass many picturesque villages that dot the landscape. In the distance, Mt. Manaslu and the Annapurna Mountain ranges grace the horizon. Pokhara, the second-largest city in Nepal, welcomes us with its serene beauty and vibrant atmosphere. It is a gateway to many treks in the Annapurna region, making it a popular destination for trekkers and adventurers alike. Upon reaching at your hotel we drop your luggage and freshen up. Then we can spend rest of the day exploring the charming lakeside area of Pokhara. The Lakeside is a bustling hub filled with restaurants, shops, and cafes, all set against the backdrop of the stunning Phewa Lake. You can take a leisurely stroll along the lakeshore, enjoy the scenic views, or simply relax and take in the peaceful ambiance.

Our trip will begin with a two-hour drive from Pokhara to Ulleri. As we wind through the picturesque landscapes, we are treated to the sights of charming villages that dot the route and we can get our first glimpse of Annapurna South and Mt. Fishtail. Upon reaching Ulleri, we set foot on the trail, embarking on the first day of our hiking towards Ghorepani. The initial part of the hike leads us through a lush rhododendron forest. The trail gradually ascends and transforms into a more gentle path, guiding us through pastures and fields that showcase the natural beauty of the landscape. Finally, our footsteps lead us to Ghorepani, a village that has gained popularity among trekkers due to its strategic location and unique charm. It is a popular village inhabited by Gurung and Magar people.

Today promises to be one of the highlights of our trek. Our day begins before the break of dawn as we rise early and embark on a revitalizing hike to Poon Hill, an elevation of 3210 meters. The ascent to Poon Hill takes approximately 45 minutes, and the anticipation of witnessing the sunrise over the Himalayas fills us with excitement. Upon reaching the summit of Poon Hill, we are greeted by a breathtaking spectacle as the first rays of sunlight paint the sky with hues of orange and gold.
