About Enchanting Nepal Tour

The Enchanting Nepal Tour offers an introduction to both the cultural and historical wonders of Kathmandu and the natural beauty of Pokhara. Throughout this journey, you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in various aspects of the country. As you visit incredible destinations and partake in its rich traditions and culture.

Kathmandu valley, renowned as the city of temples, serves as a dynamic showcase of Nepal’s heritage. Within the city center, numerous temples, cultural sites, and anthropological monuments present captivating attractions for your Nepal adventure. Exploring through this tour stands as an exceptional means of gaining deeper into their Nepalese religious practices, culture, and customs. Your exploration of the Kathmandu Valley Tour will encompass UNESCO World Heritage Sites.  Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bhaktapur, Changunarayan, Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Swoyambhunath stupa are listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Additionally, a night’s stay in Nagarkot will grant you breathtaking sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayas.

Differing from the Kathmandu valley tour, Pokhara boasts fewer temples but an abundance of natural beauty, earning it the nickname of the lake city. Its proximity to the mountain range provides spectacular views, including the reflection of Mt. Fishtail on the waters of Phewa Lake as seen from World Peace Pagoda and Sarankot. Enjoy leisurely walks along the lakeside. Same like, pay a visit to the Tal Barahi temple situated on an island in Phewa Lake, offer your respects at Bindabasini Temple, marvel at the cascading Devi’s Fall, and explore the Gupteshwor cave. The quieter and cleaner streets of Pokhara lakeside add to the charm, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts.

The 6 nights and 7 days Enchanting Nepal Tour offers an ideal itinerary for both families seeking adventure and travelers. A penchant for immersing themselves in the rich tapestry of Nepal’s culture and natural beauty.

Day by Day Itinerary

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. After check in formalities and some refreshment, we will have a pre-departure meeting regarding the details of your trip.

During the evening, we’ll take a 15 to 20-minute stroll from your hotel to reach Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO-listed World Heritage site. This historical site is located in the heart of old Kathmandu at Basantapur. Its collection of palaces, open courtyards, and temples, all constructed during the Malla era, never ceases to amaze newcomers. Notable features within the Durbar Square encompass the Hanuman Dhoka Royal Palace, a historically significant royal residence; the towering Taleju Temple, standing at over 40 meters in height; Kumari Ghar, where the Living Goddess Kumari resides; Ashok Vinayak, also known as Kathmandu Ganesh, an unusual temple without a roof; and Kal Bhairav, the deity representing fury. The city derives its name from Kasthamandap, a colossal pagoda built from a single tree. Over the centuries, the Durbar Square has remained the social, religious, and political nucleus of the city.

Subsequently, we will make our way back to the hotel through Asan, a primary marketplace in the city since ancient times. Asan offers an incredible array of goods, ranging from edibles, spices, and fabrics to electronics and precious metals. Owing to its captivating architecture and delightful atmosphere, Asan is also a well-liked tourist destination within the city.

We commence our day with a 45-minute drive to Bhaktapur, an ancient city renowned for its vibrant cultural scene, remarkable temples, and exquisite craftsmanship in wood, metal, and stone. In Bhaktapur, our exploration takes us through four significant squares: Durbar, Taumadhi, Dattatreya, and Pottery. Within these squares, we’ll unveil iconic landmarks such as the Golden Gate, the Palace of 55 Windows, the Lion’s Gate, the towering Nyatpola Temple (Nepal’s tallest of its kind), the Bhairab Temple, and the Dattatreya Temple.

Continuing our journey, we head towards Changunarayan, journeying through forests, local farmlands, and charming Nepalese villages. This drive provides an authentic and immersive glimpse into rural life in Nepal. The pagoda-style Hindu temple of Changunarayan, built during the Lichhavi Dynasty, pays homage to Vishnu in his Narayan incarnation, standing as one of Nepal’s most ancient and revered temples.

Subsequently, we drive to Nagarkot, a renowned destination that attracts both domestic and international tourists alike. Nagarkot is particularly famous for its enchanting views of sunrise and sunset over the majestic Himalayas.

Our morning kicks off early with a trip to the Nagarkot viewing tower, where we may be treated to a breathtaking sunrise over the Langtang mountain range, including the majestic Mount Everest, weather permitting.

After breakfast, we drive towards Pashupatinath Temple, located on the banks of Bagmati river. This temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, bears the title of ‘The Temple of Living Beings’. It holds the honor of being Nepal’s most revered Hindu temple and is revered as the holiest abode of Lord Shiva worldwide. With origins tracing back to 400 AD, its splendid architecture, following the traditional Nepalese pagoda style, is adorned with intricate carvings, resplendent gilded roofs, silver-adorned entrances, and it enshrines the sacred linga of Lord Shiva.

Continuing further, we arrive at the Bouddhanath Stupa, a site radiating profound spiritual energy. Bouddhanath Stupa, also known as Khasti Chitya, stands as Nepal’s largest stupa. This stupa holds historical significance due to its position along the ancient trade route connecting Tibet and Kathmandu. For centuries, Tibetan merchants have found solace here and offered their prayers. In the present day, it stands as the foremost Tibetan temple outside of Tibet itself. Daily, Tibetan and Sherpa pilgrims partake in a kora, a ritual circumambulation, around the stupa. Its design elegantly mirrors the concept of the mandala, symbolizing the entirety of the Buddhist cosmos.

In the morning, we’ll pick you up from your hotel and commence our journey towards the charming city of Pokhara. Our route takes us westward along the scenic Prithvi Highway, following the Trisuli and Marshyangdi Rivers, and passing through picturesque villages that enhance the landscape. The distant horizon is adorned by the majestic Mt. Manaslu and the Annapurna Mountain ranges. As we arrive in Pokhara, Nepal’s second-largest city, you’ll be welcomed by its serene ambiance and vibrant spirit. After arriving at your hotel and settling in, you’ll have the chance to freshen up. We then take a boat ride on Fewa Lake to visit the Tal Barahi Temple. The remainder of the day is yours to explore the enchanting lakeside region of Pokhara. This lively area is teeming with dining options, shops, and cafes, all set against the backdrop of the stunning Phewa Lake. Whether you choose to take a leisurely stroll along the lakeshore, absorb the breathtaking scenery, or simply relax in the tranquil surroundings, the day is yours to enjoy.

During our exploration day in Pokhara, we’ll be visiting the following attractions:

Davis Falls (Patale Chhango): Davis fall, locally known as Patale Chhango is located on the southern side of the Pokhara valley. The stream flowing from Fewa Lake tumbles down the rocky landscape, forming a captivating waterfall that plunges into a deep gorge and creates a series of potholes along its course.

Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave: This cave stands as a significant highlight in Pokhara, situated directly across from Davis Fall. What makes this cave unique is its role as a conduit for the water from Davis Fall to pass through.

World Peace Pagoda: Positioned on a hill along the southern banks of Phewa Lake, the World Peace Pagoda is a grand Buddhist stupa. Beyond its striking architectural presence, it offers a splendid vantage point that presents breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna mountain range and the city of Pokhara.

Bindabasini Temple: Serving as the religious heart of the old bazaar area, Bindhyabasini Temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhagawati, an embodiment of Shakti. The temple holds great significance in terms of religious practices.

In the evening, we’ll drive to Sarankot, where we’ll spend the night. Sarankot, perched atop a hill, treats us to a panoramic spectacle of towering peaks including Annapurna I, Fishtail, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, and many others. This captivating view is bound to leave a lasting impression.

After lunch, we will catch 25 minutes scenic flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

After some refreshments, we will visit Swayambhunath, also known as Monkey Temple due to the vigilant monkey community that watches over it. Situated at a hill around 3 kilometers west of Kathmandu, Swayambhunath holds a sacred place as one of Nepal’s most revered Buddhist Chaityas. According to legend, it emerged spontaneously when the Kathmandu valley took shape from an ancient lake over 2,000 years ago. During our tour, we will encounter a remarkable stupa adorned with the iconic all seeing Buddha’s eyes. The presence of prayer flags, serene ponds, revolving prayer wheels, shrines, monasteries and other captivating elements adds to the allure and fascination of this tour.

It’s time to bid adieu to Nepal. Cherish your final moments in Kathmandu by enjoying breakfast at a café, taking a leisurely city stroll, or engaging in some souvenir shopping. A representative will be present at your hotel to accompany you to the airport for your return flight home.
